Q. WHERE CAN I LEARN MORE ABOUT RUGBY?

Q. HOW MUCH CONTACT IS INVOLVED IN ATLANTA YOUTH RUGBY? IS ANY RUGBY EXPERIENCE NECESSARY?

A. No experience is necessary to join Roswell Rebels Rugby. All players will be taught safe tackle and scrum form in controlled settings. U19, U16, and U14 teams will play contact rugby. U10 primarily will play touch rugby, but will include tackles within grade if the Head Coach determines players are ready. U8 Coed will play touch or flag. When playing other teams, Roswell Rebels Rugby will decide on touch vs. contact with input from the other teams.

Q. WHAT DOES THE REGISTRATION FEE COVER? ARE THERE EXTRA EQUIPMENT COSTS?

A. Players should wear soccer or rugby cleats (no football cleats), compression shorts, and bring a mouth guard to all practices and matches. If rugby shorts and socks are needed, they can be additionally purchased at registration for $20/set. We will use the same shorts and socks every year.

The registration fee ($68 for U8s, $182 for U12s, $286 for U14s and up) includes four months of rugby training, rugby ball, jersey, shorts and socks. A USA Rugby membership with supplemental insurance is required for every player. Registration fees also help the team cover field rentals, coaching stipends, referee hires, trainers, and administrative costs. Our goal is to give our kids the most authentic rugby experience possible.

Q. WHERE IS PRACTICE HELD?

A. Practices are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Roswell Area Park at .

Games are played on Saturdays at the Northwood Elementary School at 10200 Wooten Rd., Roswell GA 30076 map.

Q. ARE THERE PAYMENT PLANS OR SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE?
